Corporate Relocation – How to Choose a Reliable Corporate Mover?

By Nick

While we’ve talked about how to select a corporate relocation company in the past, some things those we are about to share now remained untold and this is not the way to do it. Being a fully informational site that deals with helping your business move, we decided that every little aspect of THE MOVE needs to be attentively analyzed and published here on the blog. There is nothing to hide from our readers. In fact, we are trying to write about the positive parts of relocating your business as well as about its negative aspects. Nevertheless, so far we are receive a lot of nice feedback from people that read us and even if not all of you guys love us, at least we’ve become known to those who are interested in finding out more about how to relocate things in your office when moving. My only goal with this site is to help your decision making when willing to relocate. Enough said!

Today I’m going to blog about those unsaid aspects of choosing a reliable corporate mover when you decided that you business needs a new place in order to survive, when you realized that it’s time to expand and grow towards better horizons. Listen to me guys, no matter if you are just trying to move your office to another floor or getting yourself a better, more spacious office, you are still going to need experts to take care of the technical part. Transporting furniture from one place to another is a terrible headache in most of the cases if you don’t have the necessary level of experience in getting it done properly on your own. However, the moving checklist is often so big that you won’t be able to handle everything on your own. But stop worrying so much, that’s why corporate relocation services exist – to give you a hand in case it is required.

It really doesn’t matter what your reasons of relocating are, hiring a company that can handle everything and leave you as an observer is still something that is highly recommend. I’m not saying that you don’t have what it takes to get it done; it’s just that in most cases, these guys have a really good experience and in-depth knowledge of how to do it. They have everything prepared, they know which the priorities are and they always want to impress their clients, either with a fair price for their services (the cost itself) or the time frame which is required to complete the job. No matter what others believe, there is one main priority that is very important when trying to perform that strategic move of your corporation from one place to another and this is keeping things run smoothly so that even the permanent clients don’t fill any glitches.

When getting your office moved, there are three main things that need to be transported and those are: 1) the furniture, 2) any fragile materials (computers, printers, fish tanks, etc) and 3) papers and all the documents of vital importance. Each of these three main categories of things and items that need to be transported have their own difficulties in the process of relocation that we’ve talked enigmatically entitled “What Else Should You Know about Corporate Relocation”. I believe that giving this job to those experts that have plenty of experience and dedication in getting this type of work done in a perfect manner is a must if you consider yourself a serious businessman and you value time.  They are probably the only one knowing the real pros and cons of business relocation and can be able to suggest you the best solutions no matter what kind of intentions you really have.

Remember that most corporate relocation companies are eager to offer you quotes about how much is this move going to cost you and what are the things required by you to perform in order to get started. There are cases when the cost is going to make you choose les professional, but less expensive at the same time, movers. However, while this process might not be of a great importance. I always insist that you guys stop messing around and invest some money in the actual moving process and have something done that you can be proud of. Think about a pretty decent budget and stop trying to save on things that won’t bring you the desired results. The probability that an inexperienced mover can damage the property of your company is pretty high and I am positively sure that if we are talking about expensive fragile stuff, you simply don’t want to risk, even if you have the necessary insurance. It doesn’t make any sense to waste additional time in the court trying to prove someone that you are innocent and what really happened is the problem of the relocation company who wasn’t really attentive. Not sticking to the agreed time and schedule is another characteristic of those “less expensive” relocation businesses.

I suggest that when trying to choose a really good corporate mover you should look for that company that does not only assist you in moving, but takes care of everything from A till Z, including giving you a truck with a professional driver and also a crew on the moving day. Take notes that a really good mover will always stand ready to support every little step of your moving process. A good reliable mover will always take care of his client from the very beginning till the end. You can also expect phone calls from the manager of the corporate relocation company that you hired. They might want to discuss about your moving requirements, options and necessities and ask for assistance in setting the schedule straight. Before you accept their services, make sure that they offer a foreman (that person that always walks one step forward the whole operation and make sure that everything is actually “clean” and go to go) and they supply their own relocation boxes. If a company tells you that you need to have your own boxes this means that they are not serious at all and that you should be looking for something else.

Before the actual move occurs, the moving crew often visits your office, at least once. They need to compare things; they need to make sure that they handle everything without any special equipment and without dissembling any furniture. You might also notice if they visited your new location place in order to make sure if they handle with putting and arranging everything in place. When you say “go” the staff will actually start loading trucks and other means of transport that they have using elevators and other special lifts all day long so make sure you choose one good shiny business day and kindly ask them to begin working from the very morning if you want everything done by the dawn. Remember that a professional relocation company will always have two crews. The second one will always wait at point B, ready to unload, unpack and arrange every single item and all the stuff that you have and that you paid for. You can also indicate them to set up your office based on your personal preferences.

Since something like this is possible when hiring a corporate mover, why not actually do it. Imagine that there is not one little bit of worry when doing so because you have everything taken off your shoulders and put on the crew that takes care your office is professionally, attentively and safely moved from your old place to a new one. It’s time for your business to grow!
